melody of life - what's your song?

"Yeah? Then I'm a girl." He put his menu down deciding on what he wanted.

"It's complicated." He said looking down at the menu and deciding on soup and a nice beer.

"People say that but sometimes it really isn't all that complicated. They just say it to make people not ask."

He chuckled, making the menu shake a bit. "It truely is complicated for me." He said, the laugh evident in his voice.

"Maybe you just haven't found your own voice."

"More like I lost it." He said softly, a bit sad.

Lukas moved his thin finger to his hair and brushed back his bangs. They were annoying but he didn't want to cut his hair. "It happens but that's okay because at some point we all lose our voice. That's what music is right? A voice for those that lost theirs and need help saying what they feel."

"I really like your music." He said with a chuckle, blushing a bit.

Lukas shrugged as the waitress came back. He ordered a coke and a chicken salad looking to Soren.

He ordered the onion soup and a bottle of their best beer.

"We don't have any beer sir," the woman said blinking at him.

He stared at her for a moment. "Um.. what else do you have, he said that smile back on his lips.

"soda, Tea, Water and Coffee."

"Just the soup then." He said gritting his teeth a bit unnoticably.

She walked off and Lukas raised a brow at him. "You okay?"

"I'm fine." He said softly moving the menu down and looking down at his hands. "So your think my music is shit?"

"The lyrics are good and all but it' as if you've lost what made you good. There is no soul to it anymore," Lukas said. "I told you it's as if you don't believe what you are saying."

"Because I don't anymore." He confessed. "After lunch you want to go to my place and help strum out some new songs?"

"I have to get to the studio at three to work on fine tuning the up coming album." He looked at him with that same dull look as before.

"Oh.. Well maybe later, I can come pick you up afterwards." He said as he looked up at him.

"Why do you want to work on your music with me?"

He looked at him. "Honestly, I havent been about to write a thing for two months. When I heard you on the TV this morning, lyrics came flowing so fast I could hardly write them all down." He said, his eyes bright as his lips form a sexy half smirk.

"So I help you write?"

"Apparently." He said shrugging, feeling so exposed. This was more of himself he had shown any one for a very long time.

"I'll see what I can do. Come by the studio with me. You'll get a first look at what's going to be on the album." Their food arrived and the Norwegian brushed his hair out of his face as he silently started to eat.
